Beware - "Periodic Report" SCAM - April 6, 2011 Beware of a recent scam affecting businesses and non-profits in the state of Colorado. More than 500,000 letters have been mailed out from a company calling themselves the Colorado Controllers Unit (CCU), appearing to be official bills from the State of Colorado, and requesting payment of $225 (see copy of invoice here). THIS IS A SCAM. The ATTORNEY GENERAL's OFFICE has CONFIRMED in a statement that this is NOT FROM THE STATE of Colorado... Read the whole article here.

Good News for Colorado Real Estate - March 15, 2011 Industry experts who presented at the 2011 Colorado Economic Housing Summit at the Realtor Rally in Denver this month agreed that, amid the clouds of uncertainty in our housing market, a rainbow is emerging. They conceded that the market is nearing the turn to recovery and the outlook is bright not only in the near future, but for the long-term view - especially in Colorado. New foreclosure starts are dramatically down; Colorado now ranks 42nd in the nation in the quantity of home loans in delinquency and 37th in the quantity of foreclosures, demonstrating the state's leading position in the nation's turn-around. Median home prices in Colorado are slightly up, and a primary driver to home sales - jobs - are expected to increase by 22,000 in 2011. Read the whole article here.
